Acceptance Tests - Tests Performed

MagNET's acceptance tests include extensive image quality tests and unique safety checks.

Head Coil
	Signal-to-Noise Ratio	quantitative analysis in 3 planes
	Uniformity	quantitative analysis in 3 planes
	Spatial Resolution	visual analysis in 3 planes
	Geometric Linearity and Distortion	quantitative analysis in 3 planes
	Slice Profiles and Width	quantitative analysis in 3 planes
	Ghosting	quantitative analysis in transverse plane

Body Coil
	Signal-to-Noise Ratio	quantitative analysis in 1 plane
	Uniformity	visual analysis in 1 plane

Spine Coil
	Signal-to-Noise Ratio	quantitative analysis in 1 plane
	Uniformity	visual analysis in 1 plane

Shoulder Coil
	Signal-to-Noise Ratio	quantitative analysis in 1 plane
	Uniformity	visual analysis in 1 plane

Extra coils and planes can be tested if time permits or if the site voices any particular concerns which it feels need to be addressed.

	In addition to basic, essential safety checks, MagNET performs some unique safety checks. Check of the 5 gauss (0.5mT) line Check of the controlled area, warning signs and room monitors Acoustic noise measurements at the isocentre on 1 ultra-fast sequence. Acoustic noise measurements checks may be made on more ultra-fast sequences if time permits.
