Fonar is demonstrating the newly named UPRIGHT, previously known as the STANDUP. There are approximately 50 installed world-wide.

All installations come with a free TV screen system.

Magnet

The UPRIGHT features a 0.6T resistive magnet.

The patient gap is 45.7cm and can image people of mass up to 227 kg.

People can be imaged in flex/extension studies.

Gradients

The gradient system has an amplitude of 12mT/m and a slew rate of 20 mT/m/s.

RF System

A number of coils are available for the UPRIGHT 0.6T system:

• 2-channel quad-planar. This straps to the back and has a FOV of 36cm
• 2-channel Quad-Thoracic/Lumbar Spine
• Planar
• Single-channel Cervical Spine
• 2-channel Shoulder. This is specially designed for standing up. It is quite a large device.
• 2-channel Quad Foot. This will available in 2005.
• Signal Plus wrist
• Quad head
