MagNET members have returned from Best, The Netherlands, having completed the assessment of two Philips MRI systems.

The Philips Achieva 1.5T and the Philips Intera 3T were both assessed.

MagNET has just completed the assessment of the Oni Orthone 1.0 T dedicated MRI system in Boston, USA.

This assessment is MagNET's first for a dedicated MRI system.

GE unveiled their parallel imaging technology, EXCITE, in the UK at this year's UKRC in June this year.

MagNET will be assessing GE systems with the new EXCITE technology in autumn 2002.
